The Blue Flag is a highly prized mark and many tourists are the main navigators when choosing a destination, and it has just contributed to the Montenegrin coast being highly positioned on the global map of tourist destinations.

Thanks to this prestigious standard, Montenegro has the beaches on the list of the best in the world, together with Morocco, Tunisia, New Zealand, Brazil and the Caribbean.

Montenegro’s beaches are on the list of the best in the world

According to many, the main tourist metropolis of the Montenegrin coast is Budva. Over three thousand years old city, today, has rich cultural and historical content, and its coastline is one of the most beautiful in the world, which leaves no one indifferent.

In the Budva Riviera last year, as many as 11 beaches were given a blue flag.

Among them, the largest is Jaz, 1,200 meters long and 2.5 kilometers from the city itself. Part of the pebbles, and part of the sandy is divided into two areas, of which the smaller one was once nudist.

Lush vegetation that represents a protected part of category I, transparent, clean seawater and a source of drinking water that flows into the sea.

This beach is interesting not only for swimmers, but also for campers, because in its background there is a camping capacity of 2,000 places.

The beauty of Kamenovo beach

When Montenegro’s beaches in this area are concerned, it’s impossible to skip the famous Kamenovo.

Although much smaller than Jaz (330 meters), due to its characteristics it is very visited. It is located between Becici and Przno, and it is 5 km from Budva.

Kamenovo adorns the sandy shore, as well as the seabed, which gives a turquoise tone of water. Its position in the southeast allows the sun to stay up to 20 hours, so this beach is famous for its beautiful sunsets.

The beaches of Montenegro are ideal for family vacation

The first place among the blue flag beaches in the Ulcinj region deservedly belongs to Kopakabani.

It is part of the Great Beaches, and is named after the famous beach in Brazil. At 900 meters of the sandy coast there are as many as 500 sunshades and 800 deck chairs.

Kopakabana is ideal for both young people and families with children, because there is a playground for the youngest next to the bar and restaurant.

If you decide to head north along the beaches of Montenegro, you must not miss a visit to the Blue Mountain in Radovići in the southern part of the Tivat Bay.

Although it is located on the open sea, it is sheltered from the winds because it is surrounded by numerous parks and pine forests. The medicinal sand of this beach is suitable for the treatment of rheumatic diseases.

Blue Horizon is great for young children because the water is shallow and up to 15 m from the shore. Rich content makes it attractive and for young people eager for good fun.
